Care to debate? SafeCare BC says, yes please!
April 13, 2017 | News
SafeCare BC is honoured to be among five organizations selected in the first-ever Care to Debate event, which will culminate in a special session at the BC Care Providers Association’s 40th annual conference, in May. There, the top three submissions, as voted beforehand by conference delegates, will have the opportunity to present and debate their positions at the conference.
SafeCare BC believes that the answer to address a critical shortage of workers in the continuing care sector isn’t to simply recruit more workers, but rather to reduce the number of injured workers, so these highly skilled and trained individuals can return to work. To this end, SafeCare BC believes that workplace health and safety be considered an integral part of the training, education, and evaluation of continuing care staff and operational leaders.
We are excited by this opportunity and need your support to make it to the finals and present at the conference. Those eligible to vote for the Care to Debate finalists have already received an email with voting instructions and access to the voting link. If you are eligible to vote, please ensure you do so!
