In long-term care it is increasingly apparent that who is on shift is just as important as how many staff are on shift. Quality care is difficult to achieve when we do not routinely engage with one another in a positive, or civil, manner.

Your education experience is getting an upgrade.

December 9, 2024

We are making some upgrades to our education system—Learning [SPACE]. While we make these improvements, you will be temporarily unable to make any purchases until January 2.

What are the benefits?

  • Want to see what is coming up? You can view all upcoming available instructor-led courses on our new calendar.
  • Looking for a certificate? You can access all your certificates right from your home page.
  • Can’t remember when your course is? Booking details are available at the top of the home page when you login.

How will I access the new system?

Over the coming weeks, you will receive an email inviting you to login. From that email, you will be able to activate your account and set a password. Once that’s done, you’ll be ready to go for 2025.

In January, you will be able to login with your email and password, access your existing courses/certificates, and find new courses to start your safest year yet off right.

Will I be able to access my courses and certificates?

You don’t want to lose your hard work and access to the courses you have. We don’t want that either! When you login to BIS Trainer, beginning in 2025, you will see your existing courses on your homepage.

And for courses you’ve already completed? You will see those listed at the bottom of your screen and a quick link to get your certificate/

When does my access change?

There are some key dates for you to be aware of with this change:

  • December 9 to January 1, 2025: You will not be able to access your courses. Any course completions during this time will not be saved. *Currently scheduled courses will still be tracked*
  • January 2, 2025: You will be able to access all courses on our new system

Do you have questions?

Questions may come up for you during this change and we would love to know what they are so we can answer them in future updates.

Ask your questions here

We’re excited about this change, and we are here every step of the way to help you. You can expect more updates over the coming weeks with more information.
