In long-term care it is increasingly apparent that who is on shift is just as important as how many staff are on shift. Quality care is difficult to achieve when we do not routinely engage with one another in a positive, or civil, manner.

Make safety your New Year's resolution. Enter the Safety Den.

January 9, 2025

Here’s a New Year’s resolution you won’t want to break: winning $2,000 at Safety Den.

The Dragons’ Den-inspired health and safety showcase returns this June in Victoria for it’s ninth year, and we want you to be part of it.

How it works

Does your organization have a health and safety initiative others should hear about? Do you have your own ideas to keep people safe that you want to pitch? Safety Den is your chance to share them.

Tell us your idea—no matter how simple it may seem. If your submission is selected, we’ll work with you to create a video about it. Then, you’ll join us at the event for a chance to impress the competition's judges—the safety dragons—and win the top prize of $2,000.

It’s easy to participate

  • Submit your idea using our online form
  • Remember, your idea doesn’t need to be
  • Give us time to review all the submissions
  • If you're selected as a finalist, arrange a time for us to come film
  • Answer the dragons’ questions and win the cash prize!

The deadline to submit is April 1.

We're happy to help you with your submission. If you have any questions, reach out to Zach Butler at zbutler@safecarebc.ca
