CEO, Founder, and Lead Consultant
Michele Thomson, Buron Health Michele has been the VP of Operations at Buron Healthcare since January 2020. Throughout her 25-year nursing career, Michele has gained experience and expertise in various practice settings, including ICU, acute care, community nursing, end-of-life care, clinical workforce planning, change management and leadership development.

Her career in LTC began when she moved from Ontario to BC in 2006. Between 2006-2018, she worked for two private continuing care and assisted living providers and, gained operational experience as a GM, and continued to support clinical service delivery supporting the DOC. Taking a short break from the sector in 2018, Michele worked as the Director of OH&S and Wellness at First Nations Health Authority.

In 2010, Michele earned the Gerontological Nursing Certification, strengthening her commitment to supporting employees to provide safe and person-centred care. Michele’s care philosophy is assisting residents to maintain
their individuality, independence and to have a meaningful quality of life.
