In long-term care it is increasingly apparent that who is on shift is just as important as how many staff are on shift. Quality care is difficult to achieve when we do not routinely engage with one another in a positive, or civil, manner.

Turning tension into clarity: Explore your conflict style

Conflict at work isn’t always loud—but it’s always felt. It can surface during busy shift changes, in moments of miscommunication, or when staff avoid difficult conversations. Left unaddressed, it affects team dynamics, care quality and psychological safety.

This practical, skills-based webinar helps workers recognize how their conflict style shows up in their day-to-day work. Using the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI), the session introduces five conflict styles and offers real-world tools to navigate tension with clarity, confidence, and care. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of their own responses to conflict and strategies they can use to support safer, more collaborative care environments.
