Mark Ryan

Manager, Learning and Development
SafeCare BC
As learning and development manager at SafeCare BC, Mark develops learning strategies, training programs and educational resources that support the health and safety needs of workers in continuing and community care. He works with staff, members and subject-matter experts to identify learning needs, develop new content and strengthen existing education.

Mark brings a background in teaching and instructional design to the role. Before moving to Vancouver in 2020, he taught a wide range of subjects to students in grades 7 to 12. He holds a bachelor of kinesiology and a bachelor of education, with a minor in special education, from the University of Alberta.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys cooking, cycling along False Creek and searching for Vancouver’s best pastries.
