Sienna Senior Living - Michael

June 15, 2026

At Lake Country Lodge Community & Retirement Living, caring isn’t just a value, it’s a daily practice, exemplified by Michael Morter, Director of Support Services. While Michael oversees culinary services, housekeeping, and laundry, it’s the way he connects with people that truly sets him apart. He makes a point of greeting everyone he passes, taking time to listen, and ensuring each person feels seen and valued.

Michael’s commitment to creating community and demonstrating caring shines through one particularly meaningful initiative. Recognizing a resident’s desire for purpose and connection, he invited him to take on an honorary role as “Associate Director of Dietary Services.” Complete with a personalized name tag worn proudly each day, this role has restored the resident’s sense of identity and contribution. Through inclusive responsibilities and genuine encouragement, Michael transformed an everyday interaction into a life-enriching experience.

By acting positively and leading with empathy, Michael has helped one resident and many others, feel important, engaged, and at home. His actions perfectly embody Sienna Senior Living’s values, creating a community where caring is felt in even the smallest, most thoughtful moments.
