Jennifer Derksen brings a diverse background in occupational health and safety, supported by an undergraduate degree and OHS certification from BCIT. Her skills and experience span multiple sectors, including a decade in the K–12 education system, where she gained practical expertise in developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs for complex work environments.

Jennifer Derksen brings a diverse background in occupational health and safety, supported by an undergraduate degree and OHS certification from BCIT. Her skills and experience span multiple sectors, including a decade in the K–12 education system, where she gained practical expertise in developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs for complex work environments.

At SafeCare BC, Jennifer plays a key role in developing and facilitating workshops that promote safer, healthier work environments. She provides member organizations with strategic support in occupational health, safety, and well-being—focusing on compliance with provincial regulations and alignment with leading industry practices.

When she’s not working or volunteering, you’ll often find Jennifer walking, hiking, or biking through the Lower Mainland in search of tasty treats.
