Ron Beleno is a recognized caregiver advocate, speaker, and advisor in the fields of aging, dementia, and caregiving innovation. As a long-time family caregiver to a parent who lived with Alzheimer’s, Ron brings lived experience into his work with researchers, innovators, and organizations across Canada and internationally. He is the past Co-Chair of AGE-WELL’s Older Adult and Caregiver Advisory Committee, and a recipient of the AGE-WELL Honorary Fellows Award. AGE-WELL is Canada’s technology and aging network. Ron advises with Healthcare Excellence Canada, the CIHR Institute of Aging, the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence, and many other organizations. He also collaborates with numerous Alzheimer’s and Dementia societies across Canada at the national, provincial, and local levels. In 2025, Ron was honoured with the inaugural Janet Beed Impact Award from the Ontario Caregiver Organization for his leadership in caregiver advocacy.
