Tools for managing stress and reducing burnout

Caring for others takes a toll, mentally, emotionally and physically. This introductory session offers practical, evidence-based mindfulness tools to help manage stress, prevent burnout and support overall well-being.

Designed with care workers in mind, the session explores the brain science behind mindfulness and offers simple, accessible practices you can use at work or at home. It includes videos, guided exercises and time for reflection and discussion, giving you space to pause and reconnect with yourself.

Jennifer Aberman has been working with the BC Crisis Center since 2017. She facilitates a variety of workshops, including workshops on suicide intervention skills training and tools for managing stress & burnout. As an enthusiastic, lifelong learner of mindfulness she is grateful to be able to translate her learnings into the workshops as time goes on. Jennifer also works as a therapeutic counsellor with To Be Heard Counselling. From a holistic approach, she supports individuals to develop stronger foundations to better approach the challenges and opportunities of life.
