At our Leaders Health and Safety Forum this past Tuesday, Anna Richter and Saleema Dhalla presented a certificate of recognition to @baptist_housing (Evergreen Care) for their participation in the tailored outreach program in 2025.
Anna worked with Christine Shearer and her team to do a comprehensive review of their safety program and provided a report and action plan for them to use to implement changes to improve health and safety.
For Christine, the work is about building trust, strengthening culture, and making sure the policies protect the people who rely on them. Through her partnership with us, Christine has shown that safety is something lived, every day, in every action.
“It was a great opportunity to meet other leaders in the industry and connect with them and hear what they`re doing.”
Leaders from across the province came together for the fourth annual Leaders Health and Safety Forum, a day full of learning, collaboration, and connection.
Forum facilitator Jeff Lyth led a conversation around helping organizations achieve better health and safety outcomes by embracing the techniques in human and organizational performance. Jeff encouraged leaders to approach challenges with curiosity and practical experimentation.
Attendees left with new ideas, tools, and connections to help support safer workplaces in their organizations.
In honour of Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2026, this webinar moves beyond awareness to action through exploring the vital connection between neurodiversity and belonging in the workplace.
Drawing from research, over a decade of work experience in HR leadership, and her own lived experience as a stroke survivor, Jackie will show you why understanding how different brains process information transforms both team dynamics and the people we serve.
Together, we’ll talk through the definition of neurodiversity, explore disclosure (and why we don’t actually need to know), as well as practical strategies around neuroinclusion that you can use immediately with colleagues and those around you, approaches that reduce friction, prevent burnout, and honour the natural diversity of human minds.

Injuries arising from acts of violence or aggression are one of the leading injury–types among continuing care workers. These types of situations can often be avoided or managed by using current and leading-practice violence prevention skills and techniques.
Taking a violence prevention workshop will help make you and your workplace safer!
Led by an expert health care facilitator, the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum, delivered by SafeCare BC, will teach you how to prevent and de-escalate potentially violent situations in the workplace and how you can protect yourself in the event of a behavioural crisis.
