November 27, 2025

We are pleased to announce that Northbridge Insurance is partnering with us to support our tenth annual Safety Den event, which is being held on May 25, 2026, at the BC Care Providers annual conference, in Whistler. This Dragon’s Den-inspired show is a highlight for many conference attendees and showcases ideas and innovation that enhance workplace health and safety in healthcare.

Northbridge provides more than just insurance solutions. With their in-depth industry knowledge, organizations benefit from Northbridge’s risk management expertise, which includes education, risk assessments and training solutions.

“At Northbridge Insurance, safety is at the heart of what we do. By sponsoring SafeCare BC’s 2026 Safety Den event, we are championing innovative ideas that help protect healthcare workers and foster safer workplaces,” says Katrina Khoie, Underwriting Director – Western Canada. “We are very pleased to support SafeCare BC and the local care sector while reinforcing our commitment to help create a safer, brighter future for all Canadians.”

Blending education and entertainment, the Safety Den features six finalists in two categories, who present their ideas to a panel of Safety Dragons. The winner of the healthcare category will win the top prize of $2,000, while the winner of the Commercial category receives the Safety Innovation of the Year Award.

We want to hear about your great idea. It’s easy to submit. Go to safecarebc.ca/safety-den to learn more. If you have any questions, Ashifa Tharani, our Operations Advisor, is ready to help you. You can email her at ashifa@safecarebc.ca
