Become a SafeCare BC Ambassador

Want to help promote health and safety in your workplace? Apply to become a volunteer SafeCare BC Ambassador.

Are you passionate about health and safety? Do you want to get more involved with SafeCare BC? Join our volunteer ambassador program.

SafeCare BC Ambassadors are frontline workers who help spread awareness of health and safety resources directly to their colleagues. This flexible, low-barrier role helps connect your team with tools and resources from SafeCare BC.

As an ambassador, you’ll help spread the word about SafeCare BC’s programs and resources by:

  • Hanging posters in your organization
  • Sharing information with your colleagues
  • Acting as a point of contact for your workplace

We value your time. These activities can be done on your schedule. We'll send periodic emails with the content you need. It’s an easy, flexible way to make a difference in your workplace.

SafeCare BC Ambassador

What you’ll do as an ambassador

Share helpful resources

Ambassadors help colleagues discover the tools they may not otherwise see. This includes:

  • Posters, Safety Huddles, microlearning resources
  • Updates, events, and campaigns from SafeCare BC

Stay connected

  • Act as a point of contact for SafeCare BC
  • Participate in virtual Ambassador Community Connections to exchange ideas with other Ambassadors

Provide insight and feedback

  • Share what staff find helpful (or what they need more of)
  • Help us improve programs by offering frontline perspectives

Promote a positive safety culture

  • Encourage safe practices simply by modelling them
  • Help normalize conversations about safety, wellness, and mental health

What’s Not Part of the Ambassador Role

Ambassadors are not required to:

  • Deliver or facilitate formal training
  • Interpret, enforce, or ensure compliance with workplace policies or procedures
  • Replace the role of the joint occupational health and safety committee, occupational health and safety representatives, or supervisors
  • Develop new safety content
  • Manage investigations, documentation, or administrative safety tasks
