Cultivating emotional balance with HeartMath

Discover the power of the heart and the impact it has on yourself and those around you.

In this session, Karen November explores HeartMath and the concept of heart coherence, essential for well-being and emotional self-regulation. You'll discover the power of the heart, how it interacts with the brain and nervous system, and the impact it has on yourself and those around you.

You'll practice proven HeartMath tools that support emotional regulation, build inner stability over time, and enhance access to your own wisdom and intuition. Learn from real-life examples that illustrate the practical impact of HeartMath in everyday situations, with a guided meditation at the end.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain heart coherence and the heart’s role in well-being, emotional self-regulation, and decision-making.
  • Demonstrate proven HeartMath tools to manage emotions during stressful situations.
  • Apply HeartMath practices to build resilience, inner stability, and emotional balance.
  • Integrate HeartMath techniques into daily life to cultivate alignment, authenticity, compassion, and a greater sense of aliveness.

Health Care Assistant

Karen November is a certified HeartMath Facilitator with extensive experience supporting individuals in healthcare settings. She is passionate about helping people reconnect with their hearts, strengthen resilience to stress, and cultivate greater aliveness, authenticity, and emotional balance in daily life.

For caregivers, HeartMath techniques provide practical, evidence-informed self-regulation tools that can be applied in the moment. These strategies help caregivers manage stress, prevent burnout, and balance the natural tendency to overcare, reinforcing the principle that caring for oneself is as essential as caring for others.

Karen is a Health Care Assistant at Luther Court Society, where she facilitates a six-week program called Building Personal Resilience for caregivers. She holds a degree in Psychology and lives with her partner and teenage daughter.

Meaningful employee participation means giving workers a real voice in how work gets done—not just informing them after the fact. When organizations listen and respond, they build trust, reduce burnout, and make better, more practical decisions.
