Talks with Sosa
Sosa Eweka-Valentine is a Nigerian-born Canadian nurse, mental health advocate, and public speaker with over five years of experience delivering impactful presentations across healthcare and community settings. With frontline clinical experience in continuing care, she brings both professional expertise and lived insight to conversations around workplace safety, equity, and culturally responsive care.

As a Black woman in healthcare, Sosa’s leadership has been shaped by navigating underrepresentation, microaggressions, and the emotional realities of frontline work. Her journey has informed her advocacy for inclusive workplaces, psychological safety, and sustainable resilience among healthcare teams.

She is the Founder of Salt City Advocacy Society, where she develops culturally grounded wellness programming for seniors, and the creator of Talks with Sosa, a mental health conference series that has impacted over 600 participants since 2018. Through her work, she bridges clinical care, community leadership, and cultural healing.

Known for her warmth, authenticity, and ability to translate lived experience into actionable insight, Sosa speaks on diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare, representation in leadership, burnout prevention, and building stronger, safer care environments.
