Mary-Lou MacDonald is an Organizational Health, Wellness and Performance Consultant with over 30 years of experience helping employers build healthier, higher-performing workplaces. She started her career as a sport scientist, eventually transferring her health and performance skills and learnings from the elite sport area to the workplace, where the principle elements so closely parallel. Mary-Lou’s passion for health promotion and prevention led her to contribute through many senior leadership roles including as founding CEO of the Safety Association for Health and Community Service in Nova Scotia- AWARE-NS. She also headed the Employee Wellness portfolio for Canada Post where she established their company-wide mental health strategy, she served as Director Workplace Health, Wellness and Safety Research at the Conference Board of Canada and most recently as the National Thought Leader, Health & Performance for HUB International, Employee Benefits Division.
