Dr. Heather Cooke has more than 20 years of experience working in dementia care in both a front-line and research capacity. She is passionate about improving residents’ quality of life and staff members’ quality of work life, which she views as interconnected.
Heather holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies and is a Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Fellow at the UBC School of Nursing. Her current research focuses on the workplace relationships of front-line care staff, including workplace incivility and bullying, which is supported by an Innovation at Work grant from WorkSafeBC.
