Session Description

Mental health is just as important in the workplace as physical safety, which is why psychological safety is an emerging topic for many workers. In this session, we will show you how to maintain positive mental health and resilience in the workplace and provide tips and tools for crafting a healthier path back to work for those who may have experienced a physical or psychological injury.

Session Speakers

Arvin Cajigas

Arvin Cajigas partners with employers, industry groups, health and safety associations and unions in providing consulting services for injury management and injury prevention initiatives. He is a manager with the RTW consultation and education services team at WorkSafeBC. He is also a registered nurse, a certified disability management professional and a licensed disability management auditor.

Amenda Kumar

Amenda has worked in the field of mental health for over 10 years, working for both government and private organizations. She joined WorkSafeBC in 2014 and since then, she has worn several hats including working as a Case Manager in Claims, Investigations Officer in Fatal and Series Injury Investigations, and currently as an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant for Mental Health Injury Prevention in Consultation and Education Services.
