SAFECARE BC ANNUAL REPORT 2024

Hearts and Hands

The ninth annual Hearts and Hands conferences, held in Langley and Nanaimo on October 2nd and 4th, respectively, marked a significant milestone as Nanaimo became a first-time host city. Guided by the principles of celebrating healthcare assistants, providing them with tools for workplace safety and health, and inspiring them, the conferences proved highly successful.

Participant surveys reflected overwhelmingly positive experiences. In Langley, 96% of participants rated the event as excellent or very good, with similar feedback from Nanaimo attendees. These conferences serve as a powerful platform to promote SafeCare BC's leadership in supporting healthcare workers and enhancing workplace safety. The brand awareness and influence generated by these events are substantial.

With a combined 462 attendees, the conferences exceeded expectations. Langley's event was the largest in Hearts and Hands history, with 315 registrants, while Nanaimo surpassed its goal of 120, welcoming 147 participants.
