In November 2013, SafeCare BC undertook a training needs assessment to determine the training and resource needs of the long term care sector in British Columbia. The scope of the assessment included all health and safety training, education and resources available to the long term care sector in British Columbia (Classification Unit 766011).
The methodology of the assesment included an online survey to a segmented target audience (employer/employee) and semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders.
SafeCare BC’s Needs Assessment concluded at the end of February, and we are pleased to report that we received a very robust response. Thank-you to everyone who participated – your input and support are and will continue to be invaluable in helping SafeCare BC achieve its mandate to reduce injuries in long term care workplaces.
